We are located at 98 Portland Street directly across from the side entrance of the Main Post Office and diagonally across from Deering Oaks Park From Points North & South - From Portland’s I-295 take exit 6A Forest Ave East
- Exit off ramp onto Forest Ave East
- Parking is available along Forest Ave across from the Main US Post Office or Turn left at second working lights at Portland Street for Bintliff’s American Café 98 Portland Street
From Points West - Rt 25 east to end at Park Street (at corner of Deering Oaks Park)
- Turn left onto Park St.
- Cross the intersection of Forest Ave. /Rt 302 (Park St. turns into Portland St.)
- Bintliff’s is the third building on the right
Or - Rt 302 East to intersection of Park Street and Portland Street at Deering Oaks Park
- Turn left onto Portland St.
- Bintliff’s is the third building on the left

What is your reservation policy?
Brunch: Reservations are accepted for Brunch Monday through Friday from 7am-1:45 pm. Saturday and Sunday brunch is first come first serve.
We hold reservations for 15min under normal circumstances. back to FAQ's

Where should I park?
There is ample on street parking available. We do not have a parking lot.
Please do not park in the Post Office parking lot or those belonging to other businesses.

Is brunch a buffet?
No, it is an a la carte brunch menu.

Do you serve breakfast or lunch during your Brunch?
We serve both from 7AM-2PM daily. One side of our menu features breakfast items and the other lunch items.

What is the history of Bintliff’s?
Bintliff’s American Café opened as a five-table café, conceived by the original owner and Chef Roger Bintliff in 1990. The building began as a three-story New England style shop with owner’s residence and office above. Over the years, it has undergone many changes on its way to becoming one of Portland’s favorite eating establishments. Expansion to the second floor and the addition of the deck and patio, gave Bintliff’s some of the coziest outside dining in the Portland area. Fire lead to remodeling in the mid 90s, and the current Greek Revival styling of the exterior by local artist and architect Tony Taylor. Bintliff’s brunch has wowed Portland’s diners for over 18 years!
